Myanmar’s regime has continued offensives and airstrikes across the country while holding a so-called peace forum in Naypyitaw.
The junta’s three-day 2025 Peace Forum in Naypyitaw includes representatives from signatories of the 2015 Nationwide Ceasefire Agreement and the United Wa State Army, National Democratic Alliance Army, Shan State Progress Party, political parties that registered for the junta’s proposed election and civil society organizations. Representatives from China, India, Thailand and Russia attended the opening ceremony on Wednesday.
On Wednesday night, the regime bombed Mogoke, a ruby town held by the Ta’ang National Liberation Army (TNLA) in northern Mandalay Region, destroying five houses and a monastery canteen and injuring two civilians, according to residents.
