The National Unity Government (NUG)
In Ye Township of Mon State, there was an attack on the weapons warehouse of the junta’s Operation Administration Headquarters (19) under the Southeast Regional Command. According to Strategic Force (33) of Tanintharyi Regional Command, about 200 pieces of ammunition were damaged.
In Kanpetlet Township of Chin State, the junta army conducted an aerial bombing via fighter jet on the town of Kyindwe on Wednesday morning. According to Local Humanitarian Affairs Department, 8 civilians lost their lives.
In Myingyan Township of Mandalay Region, there was a clash between the junta army and the revolutionary forces. Reportedly, over 25 junta soldiers died.
On the special occasion of Kasone Full Moon Buddha Day, the NUG issued a statement with best wishes for a peaceful and prosperous federal democratic union.
On Kasone Full Moon Buddha Day, Committee Representing Pyitaungsu Hluttaw conveyed best wishes for Myanmar people.
At 1:00 pm Wednesday, there was a meeting (8/2026) between the NUG Central Committee on the Interim Public Administration and People’s Administration Teams from Mandalay Region.
In Yinmabin Township, Pale Township and Kani Township of Sagaing Region, the junta army has been invading with a large number of forces, causing local battles. Reportedly, they have also been preparing to gain control of the Yagyi-Kalaywa Road Section.
