The Myanmar regime has killed 30 civilians, including women and children, in the Yei Twin Gone Village-tract in Bago Region’s Nyaunglebin Township since March 5, according to the Karen National Union (KNU).

On March 5, around 300 regime troops from Light Infantry Battalions 264, 20 and 439 entered the village-tract and arrested an estimated 160 residents, the KNU said in a statement on Monday.

It said 25 of those arrested by the junta were killed in aerial attacks on Sunday and five more were executed.
