Mid-Autumn Festival Held in Laukkai Attended by Brotherhood Alliance Leaders Including Arakan Army, TNLA, and MNDAA

Top leaders of the Northern Three Brotherhood Alliance the Arakan Army (AA), Ta'ang National Liberation Army (TNLA), and Myanmar National Democratic Alliance Army (MNDAA) jointly attended the Mid-Autumn Festival hosted by the Kokang Army (MNDAA) in Laukkai.

According to a Chinese-language news release with official record photos published by Kokang Media, the Mid-Autumn Festival ceremony held on September 25 was attended by Kokang leader Peng Deren, TNLA Chairman General Tar Aik Bong, TNLA Vice-Chairman Tar Koo Lang, and Arakan Army (AA) Deputy Commander-in-Chief Dr. Nyo Twan Awng.

Among the ethnic brotherhood alliance forces Kokang, Ta'ang, and Arakan armies the Kokang and Ta'ang forces had previously engaged in clashes around March this year over territorial disputes in northern Shan State. About half a year after those clashes, top TNLA leaders attended the Mid-Autumn Festival organized by the Kokang forces.

Furthermore, the Kokang army had previously launched an offensive and captured Kutkai Town, which was under TNLA control. Among the three brotherhood alliance members, the Arakan Army (AA) continues to engage in active armed conflicts with the military junta to this day, whereas the MNDAA and TNLA have entered into ceasefire agreements with the Myanmar military junta.

In addition, the TNLA and MNDAA accepted the junta leader Min Aung Hlaing's invitation for peace talks, and leaders from both groups traveled to Naypyidaw to conduct peace discussions with the military regime.

While the Kokang and Ta'ang armies are engaging in peace talks with the terrorist military junta, the junta has been continuously conducting airstrikes on towns and villages under Arakan Army (AA) control, leading to a rising number of casualties among innocent civilians.

Since September 4, the terrorist Myanmar military has been attempting a counter-offensive using massive troop deployments in AA-controlled regions. However, the military's columns have been unable to advance, and the Arakan Army (AA) continues to capture military junta camps sequentially.
