China, Myanmar discuss joint fight against online fraud, reject foreign interference

China and Myanmar discussed measures to combat online fraud, including the rejection of foreign interference in online fraud, the Ministry of Information announced.


A delegation led by Mr Liu Zhongyi, Assistant Minister of Public Security of the People’s Republic of China, paid a courtesy call on Union Minister of Home Affairs, Lt. Gen. Tun Tun Naung, at Office No. 38, Nay Pyi Taw on the morning of December 12.


During the meeting, they cordially discussed the need for coordination between the two countries and regional countries in combating online scams, the rejection of foreign interference in the name of online scams, China's support for the work of the Central Committee for the Supervision of Combating Online Fraud and Online Gambling, and the need for cooperation and rapid implementation, the Ministry of Information announced.
