Wai Hin Aung Charity donates 100 million kyats, warm clothing to IDPs in Kyaukphyu

The Wai Hin Aung Charity has contributed more than 100 million kyats and provided warm clothing to internally displaced persons in Kyaukphyu Township, Rakhine State.
Intense combat is occurring between the AA and the military near Kyaukphyu, which is the hub of the Chinese projects, resulting in villagers from over 50 communities fleeing the violence.
Ko Wai Hin Aung stated that he individually contributed a total of 116,600,000 kyats along with two large bags of warm winter clothing on January 5.
Ko Wai Hin Aung stated to Narinjara, "They currently have numerous needs. As the conflict area has grown, they must stay in one location and relocate from their previous shelter to a new area that they believed would be safer, making everything much more challenging.
Ko Wai Hin Aung stated that the donation of 116,600,000 kyats consisted of 10,000,000 kyats contributed by the Sar Mee-ein (Literary Lantern) Charity Association located in Singapore.
The remaining 106.6 million is a separate contribution from the donations provided by local and international donors for the bombing incident at Mrauk-U Hospital.
At present, there are approximately 50,000 displaced individuals in Kyaukphyu Township, and they are in urgent need of food, sanitation facilities, and medical supplies, as well as blankets and warm clothing.
At present, fighting is intensifying in various areas of Kyaukphyu Township, excluding the city itself.
