The United League of Arakan (ULA) published a letter on 14 December expressing gratitude for the outpouring of international sympathy for the deaths and injuries which occurred as the result of the Myanmar junta’s airstrike on Mrauk-U General Hospital. The bombing took place on 10 December, acknowledged world-wide as International Human Rights Day.

The text of the letter of gratitude is as follows.

On International Human Rights Day, December 10, 2025, the fascist terrorist Military Council deliberately and intentionally carried out an airstrike from the air on the Public Hospital in Mrauk-U Town, Arakan. As a result, a total of 33 innocent civilian patients receiving treatment, patient attendants, and hospital staff were killed, while 77 innocent civilians sustained minor, moderate, and severe injuries.

The United League of Arakan (ULA), on our part, are profoundly saddened and deeply grieved beyond words for those who lost their lives, those who suffered injuries, and those who endured losses due to the airstrike by the fascist terrorist Military Council, which blatantly committed crimes against humanity and grossly violated major war crimes. In demonstration of solidarity and unity with the entire people of Arakan State, we will always remember with gratitude and appreciation the statements and remarks strongly condemning the terrorist acts of the fascist Military Council issued by our organization and the people of Arakan.
