Rakhine and nearby areas, including Nay Pyi Taw military HQs, on high alert following Mrauk-U hospital’s airstrike

Following the airstrikes on the hospital in Mrauk-U, the Arakan Army (AA) has issued a warning of impending reprisals, prompting heightened alert levels in Rakhine and nearby areas, including the military headquarters in Nay Pyi Taw.
On the 15th of this month, CDM Captain Zin Yaw stated in a military news review, “Previously, the state of emergency was declared solely in Rakhine; however, it has now been expanded to include the neighboring regions and the Nay Pyi Taw military headquarters. ”
In a statement made on the 11th of this month, the Arakan Army asserted that it would act decisively against the individuals responsible for the offenses, those who directed them to carry out the crime, and all parties engaged in the acts against innocent civilians who are receiving care in public hospitals and clinics.
