TNLA: Peace Talks With Myanmar Junta Have Failed

No agreement between the Ta’ang National Liberation Army (TNLA) and Myanmar’s regime was agreed in China, the armed group announced on Wednesday.

The TNLA delegation led by Lieutenant General Tarr Jode Jarr met Lieutenant General Ko Ko Oo, the regime’s Special Operations commander, for talks in Kunming, Yunnan Province, on Sunday.

Junta airstrikes on TNLA territory in Namtu and Kutkai townships and attacks on Nawnghkio Township in northern Shan State continued during the talks.
