Tatmadaw columns regain control of Nawng- hkio

Tatmadaw columns have regained control of Nawng- hkio in Shan State (North), the Ministry of Information announced. The TNLA and PDF groups launched a massive attack on Nawng- hkio on June 25, 2024. Despite fierce resistance from the battalions/units and military columns in Nawng-hkio, they suffered heavy casualties, injuries, and losses. As the opposing forces grew overwhelmingly stronger, they had to retreat. After that, they temporarily regrouped with local forces from the Taungkhame and Pyinoolwin military regions to organize a defensive and continue their resistance, according to reports.
