The National Unity Government (NUG)
On Friday, the NUG stated that they had opened 31 township-level courts and an interim appeal court. They added that they had already started civilian judiciary procedures.
In Nyaunglebin Township of Bago Region, the junta’s commander of Ka-Ma-Ya (349) under Southern Regional Command died in a local battle.
In the report on 4-year activities, it was mentioned that the NUG had spent 94% of their funding on the military sector.
The NUG stated that they had been conducting civilian and military judiciary proceedings with a total of 149 judges – 100 men judges and 49 women judges.
In Myinmu Township of Sagaing Region, the People’s Defence Force arrested a group of robbers, which had robbed a gold shop under the pretence of being a revolutionary force, along with weapons.
In Kyaukgyi Township of Bago Region, the PDFs under Southern Military Region seized 6 junta camps. Reportedly, over 20 junta soldiers including a second commander died and over 30 weapons were confiscated along with ammunition.
On World Press Freedom Day, the NUG stated that freedom of expression and press freedom play a significant role in the revolution with efforts for the end of the military dictatorship and for the establishment of a federal democracy.
