The National Unity Government (NUG) 


  • Myanmar’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations U Kyaw Moe Tun stated that it is not possible to trust the military junta claiming to use nuclear energy for a peaceful purpose while committing war crimes in Myanmar. 

  • In Pakkoku, 5 soldiers from the junta’s Regiment 101, along with weapons and a car, defected to the Pakkoku District Battalion (8). 

  • In Natoegyi Township of Mandalay Area, over 20 junta soldiers died in local battles over two days, according to Myingyan District People’s Defence Force (4). 

  • The NUG announced that an event would be conducted in commemoration of International Workers’ Day, and the policy on prevention, reduction and elimination of forced labour would be introduced. 

  • Out of the funds earned from “From Winter Night Towards Mother’s Bosom” Campaign, Bago District PDF procured weapons. They added that they would spend the remaining funds on rations. 

  • At 8:00 am Monday, the Committee Representing Pyitaungsu Hluttaw (CRPH) met with People’s Security and Defence Council-NUG. Reportedly, they discussed current politics and military affairs on the ground.
