The National Unity Government (NUG)
Myanmar’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations U Kyaw Moe Tun stated that it is not possible to trust the military junta claiming to use nuclear energy for a peaceful purpose while committing war crimes in Myanmar.
In Pakkoku, 5 soldiers from the junta’s Regiment 101, along with weapons and a car, defected to the Pakkoku District Battalion (8).
In Natoegyi Township of Mandalay Area, over 20 junta soldiers died in local battles over two days, according to Myingyan District People’s Defence Force (4).
The NUG announced that an event would be conducted in commemoration of International Workers’ Day, and the policy on prevention, reduction and elimination of forced labour would be introduced.
Out of the funds earned from “From Winter Night Towards Mother’s Bosom” Campaign, Bago District PDF procured weapons. They added that they would spend the remaining funds on rations.
At 8:00 am Monday, the Committee Representing Pyitaungsu Hluttaw (CRPH) met with People’s Security and Defence Council-NUG. Reportedly, they discussed current politics and military affairs on the ground.
