The National Unity Government (NUG)


  • Union Prime Minister of the NUG Man Win Khine Than called to make an effort for the right performance and effective management in administration while observing the real situation on the ground constantly.

  • In Natoegyi Township and Mahlaing Township of Mandalay Region, Myingyan District Force Regiment (4) attacked the junta armed forces invading the area. Reportedly, there were no fewer than 40 casualties including junta officers, 9 prisoners of war were caught and many weapons were confiscated.

  • In Myingyan Township of Mandalay Region, there was an attack on 3 cars of the junta soldiers, police and Pyusawti members. Reportedly, a junta member died and 3 weapons were confiscated.

  • Inter-Parliamentary Union continued to recognize Committee Representing Pyitaungsu Hluttaw, established after the 2020 military coup with the winning MPs of the 2020 General Election in Myanmar, as their main partner.

  • In Geneva, Switzerland, a delegation of Myanmar MPs has been present at the 151st Conference of the IPU and related meetings. According to the NUG, the team leader Dr. Win Myat Aye and the second leader Daw Zin Mar Aung met with the Secretary General of the IPU on 21 October.

  • In Yetashay Township of Bago Region, there were a large number of fatalities among the junta soldiers including their commander in the battle in Ywar Thit Village. After that, the junta army conducted airstrikes on the local school and monastery, according to Naypyidaw People’s Defence Force (808).

  • Myanmar Permanent Representative to the United Nations U Kyaw Moe Tun stated that it is necessary to monitor the use of chemical weapons in Myanmar and set preventive measures against the military junta.

  • In Longlone Township of Tanintharyi Region, the PDF stated that they would object to the junta’s fake election in any possible ways. Therefore, they called on the public not to get involved in the election.
