The National Unity Government (NUG)


  • The NUG announced that Union Minister for Foreign Affairs-NUG Daw Zin Mar Aung had met with Australian Minister for Foreign Affairs Penny Wong at Parliament House in Canberra on November 17. Reportedly, they discussed Myanmar’s affairs.

  • Mandalay People’s Defence Force, Moegok Strategic Force and Ministry of Defence-NUG detained Ko Monedie, an EC member of Mdy-PDF and focal person of Operation and Organization, and Ko Nainggyi, the Head of the Fundraising Department.

  • Mdy-PDF announced that Ko Monedie and Ko Nainggyi had been dismissed from their positions, disarmed and detained due to their withdrawal of some high-cost belongings of the force illegally against the rules and regulations.

  • Myanmar’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations U Kyaw Moe Tun called on the UN state members to reject the junta’s sham election.

  • Ministry of Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Risks Management-NUG provided humanitarian aid worth 213.12 million MMK to those in need in October.

  • According to the NUG’s spokesperson U Nay Phone Latt, they honoured the meeting between the Chin Brotherhood and the Arakan Army and their military, political and economic cooperation, and regarded it as a historic milestone.
