The National Unity Government (NUG)

• Acting President of the NUG Duwa Lashi La stated that the aspired for new Myanmar with justice and prosperity would come into existence only when the military junta could be removed by any means; politically or militarily.

• At 8:00 am Thursday, Committee Representing Pyitaungsu Hluttaw had a meeting via video conferencing with the Kachin Political Interim Coordination Team. Reportedly, they discussed military and political matters.

• In the eastern part of Kantbalu Township in Sagaing Region, the junta army conducted two airstrikes on Charging Hospital opened by the Ministry of Health-NUG for public healthcare, on the night of July 29. According to the Ministry of Human Rights-NUG, 5 people including children lost their lives in the incident.

• Under the Ministry of Defence-NUG, Pyin Oo Lwin District People’s Defence Force under Mandalay PDF attacked a fleet of the junta’s 17 vessels streaming up the Ayeyarwady River from Mandalay Gawwain Port.
