The National Unity Government (NUG)
In Letbadan Township of Bago Region, a combination of the People’s Defence Forces conducted a guerrilla attack on the junta army invading Thayetchaung Village. According to the Military Headquarters under Ministry of Defence-NUG, no fewer than 15 junta soldiers died, 12 others were caught alive and weapons were confiscated.
In Kantbalu Township of Sagaing Region, the junta soldiers at an inspection gate on Shwebo-Myitgyina Road arrested a couple on their way to offer Kathein donations and seized their belongings. Additionally, they raped the woman and killed her.
Myanmar’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations U Kyaw Moe Tun stated that Myanmar has had to suffer a man-made disaster due to the junta’s lawless activities and their deliberate disregard of the public’s lives and property.
In the Southern Military Region under Ministry of Defence-NUG, the women comrades from Royal Peacock Column have been conducting inspection at gates for people’s security.
In Minkin Township of Sagaing Region, Ministry of Human Rights-NUG conducted training on Women and Children Protection during Conflicts. Reportedly, over 90% of the women joined it.
