The National Unity Government (NUG)

• In an exclusive interview with Mizzima, Minister for Health-NUG Dr. Shwe Pone stated that the NUG had completed building 10 underground hospitals all across Myanmar.

• Ministry of Social, Labour and Humanitarian Affairs-NUG stated that earthquakes with Richter Scale 5.2 and 4.1 had hit near Naungcho in Shan State and near Sintku in Mandalay Region respectively on Friday morning.

• Ministry of Defence-NUG stated that they had seized 9 junta camps in June and up to 644 junta soldiers had died in the fighting.

Revolution Activities

• In Tanintharyi Unit, the number of displaced people has increased up to 83,700 and above in 2026. Reportedly, they have been facing hardship for survival, healthcare and education.

• In Myaing Township of Magway Region, the junta army invading the area ill-treated and killed a man in Wayinchain Village. They also raided and destroyed public’s houses.

• Bangkok has been pushing for dialogue to help resolve the Myanmar’s crisis. Thailand also expressed their hope that the military junta would allow ASEAN Special Envoy to meet with Daw Aung San Suu Kyi in an upcoming trip.

• The International Organization for Migration and the UN Refugee Agency are deeply concerned by reports that two boats carrying more than 500 Rohingya people may have capsized off the coast of Myanmar in recent days. 

• In the months following the military’s February 1, 2021 illegal coup, a junta-linked network sought to sell 800kg of gold through Thailand, Laos and Hong Kong, according to Justice For Myanmar. JFM has also identified the involvement of Khin Thiri Thet Mon, the daughter of the junta leader Min Aung Hlaing.

• In Mawlight Prison in Kalay of Sagaing Region, 2 criminals under a death sentence bullied Ko Arkar Min, a political prisoner. According to Political Prisoners’ Network Myanmar, the stimuli and ignorance of the junta’s prison authorities were involved behind the case.

• On Wednesday, Fortify Rights called on pro-democracy groups in Myanmar, including Karenni revolution forces, to set up war crime investigation units to independently investigate war crimes as well as human rights and humanitarian law violations.
