The National Unity Government (NUG)
On Monday, the NUG issued a statement, calling on ASEAN, the United Nations and the international community not to recognize the junta’s activities as an attempt to gain political legitimacy.
On Tuesday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs-NUG stated that Myanmar is ready to cooperate with the ASEAN member states for the establishment of a new federal democratic union.
In Pauk Township of Magway Unit, 3 conscripted soldiers defected to revolutionary forces in a local battle against junta troops led by Colonel Soe Thura.
According to Earthquake People’s Defence Force, local PDFs expressed special thanks to the Magway Federal Unit Government for paying attention to the requests of LPDFs and providing necessary guidance.
In Oatpho Township of Bago Unit, there was an attack on the camp of Pyusawti Militia at the entrance to Ayemya Tharyar. Reportedly, 2 junta members died and some others were injured.
