The National Unity Government (NUG)
In Tanintharyi Township of Tanintharyi Region, 2 junta soldiers from Yebyu Strategic Force defected to local defence force on Tuesday.
Acting President of the NUG Duwa Lashi La called on revolutionary forces in Chin State to resolve their ongoing armed conflicts and military tension by peaceful means of a peace dialogue instead of fighting among themselves.
Along with 3 guns, 4 soldiers conscripted for the junta’s Northwest Regional Command defected to Monywa Township People’s Defence Force. Reportedly, they were rewarded 150 lakh MMK.
