On Monday, a speedboat transporting Chinese workers from a Chinese project capsized in the Kyaukphyu Township of Rakhine State, where the battle between junta forces and the Arakan Army (AA) is fierce. However, everyone onboard was saved.

A local man from Maday Island told Narinjara that the speedboat carrying two Chinese and two Myanmar workers overturned on Monday evening in the Maday Kyun River in Kyaukphyu Township and that they had to be rescued.

"It capsized on its way back to Maday Kyun from Kyaukphyu. Because they had life jackets, we were able to rescue them. There were four of them in all," he said.
