Senior Female Clerk Arrested in Sittwe

A senior female clerk was arrested in Sittwe during the last week of July, according to local reports.

The detainee has been identified as Daw Nwe Nwe Soe, a senior clerk at the Sittwe Port Office.

A local resident familiar with the matter stated that she resides near the market on Ngwe Nadi Street, along Strand Road in Sittwe. The exact reason behind her arrest by the military junta remains unknown.

Daw Nwe Nwe Soe’s arrest follows the July 20 detentions of Fire Sergeant Ko San Oo, General Staff Driver Ko Min Min, and an employee from the X-ray department of Sittwe General Hospital.
