Two innocent teenage girls were reportedly injured after the terrorist Military Council carried out a bombing attack on Paletwa, a town located at the upper reaches of the Kaladan River.

The victims stated that at around 7:32 AM today, August 11, a jet fighter from the terrorist Military Council dropped a bomb near the entrance sign of Paletwa Town.

The injured individuals have been identified as 19-year-old Ma Htwe Sein, daughter of U Thauk Kya, and 13-year-old Ma Thandar Hteik, daughter of U Kin Hnum.

"We were at home watching a video. At that moment, a jet fighter flew in and dropped a bomb. Shrapnel reached our home and hit our legs," said Ma Htwe Sein, one of the injured victims.

Ma Htwe Sein had suspended her studies after 9th grade, while Ma Thandar Hteik is a 6th-grade student from Yae Ta Khon village at the upper Pi Chaung area, who was studying in Paletwa Town.
