Online fraudsters not to be given any personal or political protection: Maj-General Zaw Min Tun

The government will not give any personal or political protection to those who commit online fraud and gambling, said National Defense and Security Council Information Team leader Maj-General Zaw Min Tun.

He made the remarks at a press briefing on the national level online fraud eradication program held at the Myanmar Radio and Television Studio-A in Yangon on December 14. Maj-General Zaw Min Tun also said that those who commit online fraud and gambling will be dealt with firmly without giving them a second chance.

International Organized Crime is a form of transnational crime / a form of crime involving criminals from many countries, and there is active cooperation between international and regional countries. Maj. Gen. Zaw Min Tun also said that the Myanmar government has formed task forces and cooperation groups and is working together effectively. Maj. Gen. Zaw Min Tun also said that he will continue to actively and effectively cooperate in combating online fraud and gambling.
