A woman died of a sudden cardiac arrest and four others were injured following renewed Myanmar junta airstrikes on Myebonand Pauktaw (Wirathani) townships on October 10 and 11, 2026.

The deceased woman has been identified as Daw Shwe Sein Phyu, 50, from the Kantha Nyu Ward in Myebon. According to local residents, she suffered a fatal cardiac arrest after being severely shocked by the intense blast radius and sound of the explosions.

The airstrikes on Myebon occurred late Saturday night, October 10, when a junta jet fighter dropped two bombs, one at 11:50 p.m. and another at 11:55 p.m. The first bomb detonated in Wra Thit Kay Ward, wounding Aung San Win, 31, and Daw Khin Kyi, 54.

The military military operations continued into Sunday afternoon, October 11. At approximately 2:10 p.m., a junta fighter jet targeted Wirathani (Pauktaw), dropping two bombs. The explosives struck a temporary public market, former housing units for workers, and an old hospital. The attack left two civilian women injured.

These latest assaults follow a string of heavy bombardments in the region. On the evening of October 10 at 6:20 p.m., a junta airstrike on Sinai Village (a Rakhine village) in Pauktaw Township killed nine innocent civilians and wounded 12 others.

Prior to that, around midnight on September 30, a junta Y-12 transport plane carried out a night raid on Wirathani (Pauktaw), injuring five civilian women.
