Myanmar junta instructed the companies that built Naypyidaw in the early 2000s to get in touch with the Naypyidaw Council Development Committee, junta-controlled newspapers reported on 26 April.
This notice was issued over a week after the junta chief Senior General Min Aung Hlaing gave an order to review whether the builders of Naypyidaw had constructed the buildings damaged by the 28 March earthquake in accordance with the established standards and designs during a meeting held in Naypyidaw on 18 April.
The companies involved in the construction of the government offices, departmental buildings, special buildings, staff housing, administrative structures, and other buildings as part of the Naypyidaw Special Development Project have been notified to get in touch with the Naypyidaw Council Development Committee.
