Myanmar junta leader set to visit Russia

Mr Vladimir Putin, President of the Russian Federation, has reportedly invited the Myanmar junta leader Min Aung Hlaing for an official visit to the Russian Federation, according to Myanmar junta-aligned media.
During the visit, Min Aung Hlaing will meet with the President of the Russian Federation, the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, and the Chairman of the State Duma of the Russian Federation and other officials from the Russian Government.
Min Aung Hlaing will discuss matters related to the further consolidation of existing friendly relations and strategic cooperation across all areas of mutual interest, including economic, security and social spheres.
During the visit, he will also attend the Myanmar-Russia Business Forum. He will be accompanied by Union Ministers and officials during the visit, according to media reports.
