A Myanmar military junta jet fighter dropped two bombs on a high school and an adjacent public market in Kyeinchaung Village, northern Maungdaw Township, shortly after 2:00 a.m. on October 30, according to residents.

Kyeinchaung is a populous village in western Rakhine (Arakan) State, located at a strategic junction connecting Taungpyo Letwe Town and Bandoola Village in an area currently under the control of the Arakan Army (AA).

"The jet fighter dropped two bombs in the middle of the night while everyone was sleeping," a Maungdaw resident told DMG. "One bomb struck the high school compound, and the second landed near the market. Fortunately, there were no civilian casualties."

While no injuries were reported, the early-morning bombing destroyed school facilities, damaged several nearby homes, and heightened fear among local villagers who have experienced repeated aerial bombardments in recent months.

The strike is part of a broader pattern of aerial assaults across the region. On the evening of October 29, junta forces launched two suicide drones targeting Kyaukseik Village in Ponnagyun Township.

One drone detonated in front of the local school while the second failed to explode, resulting in no casualties. A previous FPV drone strike on the same village on September 11 killed one civilian.

The military regime continues to conduct frequent airstrikes targeting non-military infrastructure across Rakhine State, including in Rathedaung, Kyauktaw, Buthidaung, Maungdaw, Werathani, Ponnagyun, and Sittwe townships.
