Min Aung Hlaing leaves for Russia as Naypyidaw deepens economic and defense ties with Moscow

Myanmar regime leader Min Aung Hlaing departed Naypyidaw on Monday for an official visit to Moscow, where he is scheduled to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin at the Kremlin on Aug. 18.

The summit marks Min Aung Hlaing’s fifth international journey seeking political legitimacy following his inauguration as Myanmar president by a pro-military parliament on April 10.
