Many Killed and Injured in Military Commission Airstrikes on Two Towns in Arakan

On February 12, Union Day, the military commission troops carried out airstrikes on Kyauktaw and Mrauk-U towns in Rakhine State, resulting in a large number of civilian deaths and injuries, according to reports.



Yesterday evening after 9 p.m., the military commission air force bombed Kyauktaw Town and Mrauk-U Town a total of 4 times.


At around 9:11 p.m. yesterday, in Peike Thay ward, Duon Chaung cluster of Kyauktaw Town, the military commission air force dropped 2 bombs that exploded, killing at least 3 civilians, according to local residents.


In addition, the military commission air force carried out at least 2 bombings inside and around Mrauk-U Town, but detailed information on the damage and casualties is not yet available.
