Justice For Myanmar says Malaysian firms sought to supply junta’s air force, as junta chief visits Kuala Lumpur

Justice For Myanmar (JFM) said Malaysian companies, including two with links to state bodies, have supplied or sought to supply aircraft parts and repair services to Myanmar’s military since 2023, as junta leader Min Aung Hlaing visits Malaysia.
In an investigation based on leaked documents and trade records, JFM said FJ Global Aeroparts (M) Sdn Bhd sought to supply parts for the military’s K-8W jets, Orlan-10E drones and Russian-origin helicopters. It said the company secured financing in February 2026 from Perbadanan Usahawan Nasional Berhad, a company under the Prime Minister’s Department that is chaired through its parent foundation by Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim.
JFM also said, citing its own sources, that Myanmar military engineers visited Asia AeroTechnic Sdn Bhd, which is owned by a Malaysian rural development agency, in February 2026 about repairs to an Airbus A319. A third firm, Danish-owned Skyways Technics Asia Sdn Bhd, shipped aircraft parts to Myanmar arms brokers that JFM assessed were likely destined for the Myanmar Air Force.
JFM said Malaysia has also invited a Myanmar junta delegation led by Special Branch director Brig. Gen. Hlaing Min to the ASEAN Intelligence Community Conference in Kuala Lumpur from 2 to 6 November, with Malaysia covering the delegation’s travel and accommodation.
JFM called on Malaysia to stop companies from supplying the Myanmar military and to investigate the three firms, and urged Australia, Canada, the European Union, the United Kingdom and the United States to sanction four Myanmar suppliers it named. It also demanded Malaysia halt the return of Myanmar nationals, including Rohingya, which it said would be discussed during Min Aung Hlaing’s visit.
“It is deplorable that Malaysia is awarding false legitimacy to the war criminal Min Aung Hlaing,” JFM spokesperson Yadanar Maung said.
