Junta drone strike kills 2 women, injures 1 as 3 families harvest rice in Kyaukphyu

A mother and her oldest daughter lost their lives, while the younger sister sustained injuries due to a drone strike conducted by junta forces amidst the rice harvesting season in Kyaukphyu Township, which is currently recognized as a conflict-affected region in Arakan State.
The two deceased women have been confirmed as Wa Taw Villager Daw Ma Win Kyi (60) and her daughter, Ma Khin Win Tin (38), said a family member from Kyaukphyu Township.
The woman who was hurt was Daw MaWin Kyi's younger sister, Ma Win Nu (55).
“The drone bomb fell on the location where the three individuals were harvesting rice. The mother and the oldest daughter from the three families were killed. The younger sibling of Daw Ma Win Kyi, Ma Win Nu, sustained injuries. The individuals who passed away were my cousins," the relative stated.
