Junta Chief Worries Over Warplane ‘Atrocity Fatigue’; Blames War on Ethnic Groups; and More

ree

After a series of air attacks that killed more than 50 people—including children, mothers and internally displaced people—in little over a week, junta chief Min Aung Hlaing fretted on Monday that his fighter jets might be wearing out.

Speaking at the Air Force’s 78th anniversary ceremony, he urged pilots to handle them with care so his warplanes and support systems could continue to operate at full capacity.

His speech was accompanied by impressive aerial displays of Mi‑17s, Bell‑206s, H‑125s, H‑120s, MTX‑1B reconnaissance planes, K‑8s, F‑7s, MiG‑29s, Su‑30 SMEs, and FTC‑2000G fighters—a show of strength that never fails to deliver victory in ‘battles’ against unarmed civilians.
