Earthquake death toll reaches 3,085, injuries at 4,715, with 341 missing as of April 3: SAC


According to the statistics collected as of 8 am on April 3, there have been 3,085 deaths, 4,715 injuries and 341 missing people in all earthquake-affected areas nationwide.


“As of 8 am today, there have been 3,085 deaths, 4,715 injuries and 341 missing people due to the severe earthquake. We deeply mourn for the deaths, injuries and missing people,” said Maj. Gen. Zaw Min Tun, spokesman for the State Administration Council (SAC).


In terms of relief efforts in the earthquake-affected areas, a total of 59 aircraft have arrived from 17 countries, including Russia, China, India, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Bangladesh, Vietnam, UAE, Laos, Belarus, Indonesia, Bhutan, Philippines, Japan, Nepal, Pakistan and China (Hong Kong), bringing relief supplies and rescue workers, Maj. Gen. Zaw Min Tun said.
