Dr. Thet Thet Khine’s appeal rejected

Dr. Thet Thet Khine, chairperson of the People’s Pioneer Party, confirmed to One News that her appeal to the Union Election Commission (UEC) against the decision of disqualification from the party candidate was rejected.

Dr. Thet Thet Khine, the People’s Pioneer Party Chairman, had submitted her nomination to contest from Yangon Region Amyotha Hluttaw FPTP Constituency No. (2) in the upcoming election, but was removed from the list of candidates for violating the provisions of Section 8 (d) of the relevant Amyotha Hluttaw Election Law. Dr. Thet Thet Khine said that she had filed an appeal with the UEC against her disqualification, but since the appeal against disqualification was rejected, she has little hope of being allowed to contest the election.
