Death Toll Rises to 46 in Kyauktaw India Market Bombing

In Arakha State, Myanmar, as of 9:30 PM this evening, up to 46 bodies have been recovered from the bombing attack targeting the India Market and Kisapanadi Bridge in Kyauktaw town today, September 28.

According to search and rescue personnel on the ground, 46 dead bodies have been retrieved so far from the bombed India Market, with over 50 others suffering injuries.

Those killed and injured were solely civilians including shoppers, vendors, cargo handlers, vehicle drivers, sidecar operators, tuk-tuk drivers, and passersby at the India Market.

This act by the terrorist Myanmar military junta was an intentional and deliberate bombing attack carried out on a crowded public market.
