Daily Briefing in Relation to the Military Coup

Since the 1 February 2021 coup, a total of (7,444) people, including pro-democracy activists and civilians, have been killed by the junta and pro-military groups during the Spring Revolution.
Since the coup, a total of (29,913) people have been arrested by the junta in relation to its seizure of power. (22,598) are currently in detention, (11,324) of whom are serving sentences.
These are the numbers verified by the Assistance Association for Political Prisoners (AAPP). The actual numbers are likely much higher. We will continue to update accordingly.
According to the data collected by AAPP, from October 1 to November 5, 2025,(39) people in total; (9) women and (30) men, were killed by the junta in Sagaing Region, including (11) children under the age of 18. These are the numbers that have been verified. Among these deaths, (26) people were killed by the junta’s airstrikes marking the highest cause of death. During the stated period in that region, AAPP has also received information regarding the death of (38) civilians, as a result of junta attacks, whose identities have yet to be confirmed.
On November 2, at approximately 10 a.m., junta forces stationed at the General Administration Office in Chaung-U Township, Sagaing Region, fired heavy artillery at Nga Lone Tin Village, which is located in the same township. Artillery shrapnel from the attack instantly killed Theint Theint Aung, also known as Nyo Chaw, and Yoon Me Me Khaing.
