All in One Piece Movement for Myanmar launched globally
The launch of the All in One Piece Movement, a new global campaign for Burma led by Kim Aris, the son of jailed State Counsellor Aung San Suu Kyi, was held at the Hikifune Cultural Centre in Tokyo, Japan, and in 26 other locations around the world on Dec. 13. The movement calls for renewed international action to restore freedom, justice, and peace for the people of Burma.
“At this critical moment, unity is essential,” said Aris at the launch event in Tokyo. “The struggle has gone on far too long. We will win faster if we are united. When we stand together, we are unbreakable. We are all in one piece.” Aung San Suu Kyi has been held by the military since it staged a coup on Feb. 1, 2o21 and ousted her National League for Democracy (NLD) government.
