The Arakan Army (AA) has published a report naming 12 people who were killed and 31 who were injured during three days of air strikes by the Myanmar Military Air Force on civilian villages in Arakan (Rakhine), occurring from October 29 to 31.
The victims consist of one individual from Rathedaung Township, six individuals from Kyaukphyu Township, four individuals from Ponnagyun Township, and one individual from Pauktaw Township.
The areas that were bombed consisted of populated villages where there was no ongoing combat.
The AA has strongly criticized the Myanmar military's aerial bombardment of civilian villages, calling it an act of cowardice.
