35 Civilians Killed in Karenni State Within One Month Due to Military Attacks

The Karenni Human Rights Group (KnHRG) announced on September 8 that 35 civilians were killed in Karenni State during the month of August as a result of attacks carried out by the military junta.
According to KnHRG, 33 civilians were killed in airstrikes, one by artillery shelling, and another was shot dead, bringing the total civilian death toll to 35.
Among the victims were three children, eight women, 18 men, and six individuals whose identities have not yet been confirmed. Most of the fatalities were attributed to airstrikes, particularly in the Mawchi area of Hpasawng Township, where many civilians were reportedly killed or injured.
