Vice President Daw Nan Ni Ni Aye attends Russian National Day ceremony

A reception ceremony to mark Russia’s National Day was held at the Lotte Hotel in Yangon on the evening of June 11, and Vice President Daw Nan Ni Ni Aye attended. The ceremony opened with the Myanmar and Russian national anthems, and the Chargé d’Affaires of the Russian Embassy in Myanmar delivered a speech.

A documentary video highlighting Russia’s national cultural heritage, scientific achievements, economic development, and international role was shown.

The Russian cultural troupe then entertained the guests with traditional dances and songs.

The ceremony was attended by Vice President Daw Nan Ni Ni Aye along with Union Ministers U Than Maung and his wife, Dr. Maung Thin, Chief of General Staff (Army, Navy and Air) General Ko Ko Oo, senior military officers and their wives, Yangon Region Commander and his wife, Deputy Minister Dr.

Nay Chi Lae Lae Thein, Yangon Mayor U Myo Myint Aung. The event was also attended by the Charge d’Affaires ad interim Ms Natalia Nefedova of the Embassy of the Russian Federation to Myanmar, ambassadors, chargés d’affaires, military attachés, and invited guests from foreign embassies in Yangon.
