A graduation ceremony for a one-month summer Bible course was held with great fanfare yesterday, April 24, at a Christian Bible school in a district within Arakkha State.
The event featured award presentations to students, formal recognition of their achievements, and the presentation of commemorative gifts from students to their teachers. Official graduation certificates were also awarded to those who completed the one-month summer Bible study program.
In addition, senior officials from the United League of Arakan/Arakan Army (ULA/AA) attended the ceremony to praise the students for their religious and educational successes. The ULA/AA officials honored the school's principal and religious instructors by awarding each of them 500,000 MMK in recognition of their dedication.
A total of 76 students received certificates for completing the summer Bible course: 38 students at Level 1, 36 students at Level 2, and 12 students at Level 3.
This ceremony marked the fourth graduation event for the school. It was attended by Christian religious instructors, officials from the ULA/AA, and representatives from various administrative departments. During the event, a religious instructor delivered a speech to the students, highlighting the distinction between religious studies and general education.
A ULA/AA official also expressed gratitude to the instructors and organizers who successfully conducted the one-month course, as well as to the students for their enthusiastic learning. The official urged the youth to remain firm in their faith, upright in character, and excellent in education. Furthermore, he encouraged them to take responsibility for their people, participate in social and political duties, and stand courageously for truth and justice.
The ceremony was attended by over 200 people. Guests and local residents were served a communal meal, and the evening concluded with entertainment programs, including music and dance performances.
Local residents commented that the revitalization of religious and educational activities in the liberated areas of Arakkha is a significant step toward developing faith, education, character, and leadership among the next generation for the future building of the country.
