The videos, posted on social media on November 21, show the arrest and mistreatment of two young Rakhine men by members of the Arakan Rohingya Army (ARA).
In the video, young individuals are shown bound to a tree with their hands positioned behind their backs, while an armed ARA member, holding a firearm, assaults them by delivering kicks to their heads and chests, interrogating them in the Burmese language.
A young person, dressed in a short-sleeved white shirt, states that he hails from Ngwe Taung village. The other young person being assaulted and interrogated is Rakhine musician Khaing Min Thwee.
The recordings took place in Maungdaw Township prior to the Arakan Army taking control of the Nakaka border police headquarters on December 8, 2024.
