Two Civilians Killed by Military Commission Heavy Shelling in Mindat

Two civilians were killed in the southern Chin State town of Mindat and its surrounding areas this morning, September 4, after fascist military commission forces launched heavy artillery bombardments, according to local sources.



At around 9:00 AM on September 4, military commission forces fired multiple rounds of 120mm heavy artillery from Kyaukhtu and other surrounding positions, local residents stated.



The artillery shells detonated inside an orchard on the outskirts of Mindat, killing a married couple in their 60s and causing damage to civilian homes.



Military commission forces also targeted Mindat with heavy artillery shelling and continuous airstrikes on September 3.



Similarly, on August 30, fascist military commission forces conducted air raids using two jet fighters on Whmkung Village in Mindat Township, killing eight civilians, including


young students, and wounding approximately 15 others.
