According to AA Info Desk, the Myanmar junta air force has been conducting aerial attacks using cluster bombs and rockets on various locations in Arakan (Rakhine) state since approximately 9 PM on December 12, 2025.

The locations under bombardment include Kha Maungtaw village in Ponnagyun Township, Wabo village in Sittwe Township, Thekhon village in Pauktaw Township, and Police Battalion (31) in Mrauk-U Township.

AA strongly advises people to exercise heightened caution regarding airstrikes.

At 9 pm today, a woman residing in Mrauk-U reported that she heard the noise of military aircraft, identified as terrorist planes, releasing bombs from various locations in and near Mrauk-U township and its vicinity.

“I heard the sound of the bomb falling as though it were close at hand. It was very scary. Upon hearing it, I perceived a series of explosions. I have also been informed that there were fatalities. No one dared to step outside at night. I am uncertain whether it was a jet fighter or a Y-12. It is still going on," she stated when reached at 9 pm.

The current information indicates that the area surrounding the 31st Police Battalion, the former 540th Battalion near Aung Tat Village and Aung Mingalar, and the vicinity surrounding the 377th Battalion were the locations that experienced the sound of the explosion.

She stated that she would be able to provide more details in the morning.
