A delegation led by Phyu Phyu Thin, a secretariat member of Myanmar’s Committee Representing Pyidaungsu Hluttaw (CRPH), met with members of the Thai House of Representatives at the parliament in Bangkok, Thailand on 14 August, according to a CRPH statement.

The meeting was attended by Thai MPs, including economist Dr. Anusorn Tamajai, Mr. Chonlathan “Ice” Supphaiboonlerd, and Mr. Krokiat Korsoongsak.

“Anusorn came out of the meeting room to greet, encourage, and express solidarity. We discussed Myanmar issues with other representatives,” a Mizzima source said regarding the meeting.

During the discussion, they exchanged views on current political developments in Myanmar and areas for future cooperation, the source added.

Furthermore, the delegation expressed gratitude to MP Dr. Anusorn Tamajai for his recent statements and stance on Myanmar affairs, presenting him with an official letter of appreciation from the CRPH.

MP Anusorn Tamajai had previously protested inside the parliament for peace and humanitarian causes regarding the visit of military junta leader Min Aung Hlaing to Bangkok on 7 August, and had also issued an open letter addressed to the Myanmar military junta.

In his letter, he demanded democracy based on the Panglong Agreement, adherence to the ASEAN Five-Point Consensus, and action against cross-border drug trafficking and online scam operations also known as “Kyar Phyant”.

During this visit, the CRPH delegation also met with international aid organizations. According to the CRPH, discussions focused on securing assistance for internally displaced persons (IDPs) within Myanmar and along the border, amputees from People’s Defense Forces (PDFs), migrant workers, and educational support for their children.
