On February 12, 2026, the Union Day as the junta calls it, the terrorist Myanmar air force killed 7 and injured 16 civilians in Mrauk-U and Kyauktaw towns.
At 9:11 p.m. that day, the terrorist military commission conducted an airstrike on Peik Thay ward, Duon Chaung cluster in Kyauktaw Town. Two bombs fell and exploded, resulting in 4 civilian deaths and 9 people seriously injured including women and babies.
Following that, a terrorist military council jet fighter carried out attacks on the Wei Thar Li Hotel in the Ala Zee ward of Mrauk-U Town, where internally displaced families are sheltering.
At approximately 9:14 p.m., it bombed once, and about 6 minutes later, bombed again—a total of 2 times—using two 500-pound bombs. This killed one displaced family (3 people in total) and injured 7 others. The deceased are from Byaing Phyu village in Sittwe Township.
The terrorist military council is carrying out such aerial terrorist attacks on civilians even on Union Day itself, which has become a routine practice.
Yet, after the sham election, the upcoming partial government claims it will discuss peace talks and deceives the international community.
While shouting "peace" from their mouths, they continue to commit terrorist killings with their hands—this is clearly evidenced by these bombings in Mrauk-U and Kyauktaw.
