In a single day on May 7, the terrorist Myanmar military launched heavy aerial assaults on Minbya and Kyauktaw townships in the Arakan region, deploying groups of jet fighters and Y-12 transport planes.

Local sources report that at approximately 2:00 PM yesterday, the military council used two Y-12 aircraft and six jet fighters to bombard the mountain ranges near Kyauk Khoke and Thit Poke Taung villages in Minbya Township. The airstrike lasted for an hour and a half.

"They were attacking continuously for over an hour. Both Y-12s and jet fighters were involved. They came in groups to drop the bombs," said a Minbya resident who witnessed the attack.

Furthermore, at around 10:00 PM last night, the terrorist military reportedly targeted several locations in Kyauktaw Township, utilizing groups of Y-12s and jet fighters in a bombing raid that lasted nearly an hour.

The terrorist junta has recently escalated its daily aerial bombardments on townships currently controlled by the Arakan Army (AA). On May 6, the military also conducted airstrikes on Gwa Township.

As the military increasingly employs groups of aircraft for sustained, hours-long intensive bombing campaigns across the Arakan region, residents are urged to remain under high alert regarding the ongoing threat of aerial attacks.
