Today marks the fourth anniversary of the military coup in Myanmar, The Border Consortium (TBC) stands in solidarity with civil society, humanitarian workers, and activists who continue to work tirelessly for a peaceful, just, and inclusive future for the people of Myanmar.
Since the coup in February 2021, the illegitimate military regime has inflicted immense suffering on the people of Myanmar and widespread crimes against humanity. Over 6,100 civilians have been killed and more than 28,000 individuals have been arbitrarily arrested.
Indiscriminate aerial attacks have destroyed schools, hospitals, and places of worship, tearing apart communities and depriving civilians of basic safety and dignity.
