The National Unity Government (NUG)

The NUG and the National Unity Consultative Council jointly stated that 613 cases of sexual violence, committed by the junta army from 2021 to 2026, had been reported to the Independent Investigative Mechanism for Myanmar (IIMM).

Union Minister of the NUG Dr. Win Myat Aye stated that women and girls play an incredible role in the revolution. He also expressed his honour for the women comrades who had sacrificed their lives as well as for the women who stay committed to the revolution amidst hardships.

The NUCC and the JCC-GP released a joint statement, calling for the implementation of equal rights and justice for women and girls on International Women’s Day.

In Sagaing Region, a junta soldier conscripted in Kantbalu Township defected to Monywa District Battalion (12).
