Spring Revolution Daily News for 9 April 2026

The National Unity Government (NUG) 

• In Minbu (Saku) Township of Magway Region, there were local battles between the junta army and the revolutionary forces. According to Minbu District Battalion (6), there were casualties among no fewer than 10 junta soldiers and the junta troops retreated. 

• Tamu District Supervision donated a car to National Liberation Army which received the supervision of Ministry of Defence-NUG. 

• According to Yinmabin District Drone Force, they managed to record the junta’s airstrike on their camp, by using a detective drone. 

• The Headquarters of the People’s Defence Forces called for public contributions to a campaign for the comrades of the Ayeyarwady PDF. 

• At 10:00 am on April 4, there was a meeting between the Department of the Interim Judiciary Affairs under Ministry of Judiciary Affairs-NUG and township judges. 

• On Tuesday, there was a meeting between the Ministry of Human Rights-NUG and the Interim Executive Council of Karenni State in regards to the Bill of Union Human Rights Commission. 

• In Khin-U Township of Sagaing Region, a junta soldier, along with weapons, defected to the PDF. 

• In Khin-U Township of Sagaing Region, Local People’s Administration, focal persons of humanitarian affairs and the agricultural department gave food to the displaced people and the comrades. 

Revolution Activities 

• On Tuesday, Justice for Myanmar called on the international community to place sanctions on Myo Yadanar Htike, the daughter-in-law of the junta leader Min Aung Hlaing. 

• Despite international efforts for action against online scam operations, the number of scam centres has increased in Myawaddy on Thailand-Myanmar border. 

• In Pakkoku of Magway Region, 4 junta soldiers died and 3 guns were confiscated, along with some bullets, in a local battle in town. 

• In Yebyu Township of Tanintharyi Region, Iron Butterfly Force seized 2 security outposts of the junta army. 

• In Hpakant of Kachin State, the local strike committee and the public conducted a Thingyan verse performance against the military dictatorship for the sixth year. 

• In Maubin Township of Ayeyarwady Region, a CDM teacher sacrificed his life in the fight against the military dictators on Tuesday.
